Indian man kills mother, feasts on her heart with ‘chutney’
New Delhi: An Indian man allegedly stabs his mother to death after a fight over money, before cutting out her heart and eating it ‘with pepper and chutney’.
According to MailOnline, the shocking incident occurred in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
Sunil Kuchakurni, 35, visited his mother Yelava, 65, at her home to ask her for money. The unemployed alcoholic son became furious when she refused cash, and therefore, stabbed his mother with the kitchen knife.
Police said Sunil then cut out her mother’s intestines and her heart and ate the latter after seasoning it with chutney.
Neighbours reportedly spotted him walking out of the house with blood dripping from his hands about an hour after they heard screams and informed the police. He was eventually arrested later that day.
“He [Sunil] was unemployed and surviving on his mother’s pension,” said Senior Inspector Sanjay More.
“He’s an alcoholic and often stole money from his mother. His wife and three children moved to Mumbai. His mother was fed up with him and refused to give him more money.’”
The police official also confirmed that in a fit of rage, Sunil gagged Yelava and stabbed her to death. Later, he took out her heart and placed it on a plate.
“Some parts of her stomach and her heart were extracted and found next to the body along with pepper and chutney when we reached the scene of the crime,” he continued.
The Indian police also suspect that Sunil must have eaten some of his mother’s organs but added that they could only confirm this after receiving medical reports.
